001 - THE SONS OF ABEL

DESCRIPTION

001, also known as “The Sons of Abel”, are humanoid beings approximately 1.9 meters tall each and, according to all biological evidence obtained, belong to the species Homo sapiens despite their impossible capabilities. All instances of 001 wear the same attire: World War I military uniforms, an oversized gas mask, and a commander’s hat on top; through X-ray images it was discovered that these components are not clothing or accessories, but part of their anatomy. Beneath this layer of clothing, a mass of flesh without essential organs was found; this surface completely lacks distinctive features. The gas mask, like their clothing, cannot be removed without causing severe structural damage to the instances, and initial attempts to do so resulted in warm vapor expelled through the few openings present in the instances instead of blood. Any artificial opening tends to gradually close through the growth of additional organic and inorganic material in approximately 2 minutes.

The communication of the instances through speech is extremely limited, producing only dry murmurs and filtered air due to the masks they carry. For this reason, most of their communication is carried out through writing on paper or other surfaces. Despite this, they appear to understand English quite well and are obedient when interacting with most employees, responding to simple orders, schedules, and established routines. However, they may become irritated or aggressive if they perceive the presence of what they call the “Yellow Plague” in any person. The written descriptions made by the instances about this plague are inconsistent: at times they describe it as a disease, other times as a sin, and sometimes even as a divine sign. If they are not contained shortly after interacting with these “infected people,” instances of 001 will become hostile and attempt to kill them to “prevent it from spreading.” They remain motionless for long periods if they do not receive direct orders or detect threats, but while moving they maintain strategic distances between each other, imitating standard military formations. When an instance is neutralized, its corpse begins a spontaneous incineration process a few minutes after death. The combustion occurs without identifiable external source, consumes the body almost completely, and does not spread to nearby objects. Approximately 9 minutes after the fire ceases, the ashes gather by themselves and the instance fully regenerates, repairing all damage received. Instances of 001 have been sighted worldwide, interacting normally with some people and violently with others; in recent years, sightings of groups of 001 have increased sharply and, suspiciously, reports of missing persons have also increased in the areas where they have been most seen. The true origin of this human “subspecies” is unknown, but it is believed that it was created as a war weapon that went out of control.

DISCOVERY

The first records of instances 001 were made after the collection of civilian reports describing the recurrent presence of “soldiers” marching in formation during the early morning in various urban areas. The figures escorted several individuals out of their communities, sometimes using force. At the same time, an anomalous increase in disappearances was recorded in the areas where sightings occurred, which is why local authorities requested the department’s intervention. The deployed team intercepted the group of instances while they were escorting several civilians. Upon detecting the presence of personnel, the formation stopped and adopted a circular arrangement around the detainees. The civilians showed severe psychological stress but no serious injuries. Attempts to establish verbal communication produced no satisfactory response. When agents advanced to recover the civilians, the instances reacted by raising weapons and aiming at the team. During the confrontation one of the entities was immobilized by means of an electrical discharge. The instance immediately collapsed and, simultaneously, all the others dropped their weapons and raised their arms in surrender, ceasing all hostility. Minutes after being declared without vital signs, the neutralized body initiated a spontaneous combustion process that reduced it almost completely to ashes. Approximately nine minutes after the fire extinguished, the ashes began to regroup and completely regenerated the entity, which showed no subsequent aggressive behavior and voluntarily submitted to custody. All weapons and equipment that were not part of the instances were later sold to a United States militia museum as recently found relics.

PROTOCOLS

All wild instances of 001 must be exterminated at all costs. This can be easily accomplished through planned ambushes or with common firearms. Once eliminated, they should be moved as quickly as possible to the 001 storage facility. The 31 contained instances of 001 are housed in a low- to mid-level storage facility due to their generally inactive behavior. This facility is equipped with a 24-hour surveillance system and a television screen for their entertainment, as the instances seem to be attracted to television programs with high levels of violence. The offspring should not be fed, as they do not require sustenance. If an instance is eliminated, the ashes in which it is consumed should be isolated and allowed to regenerate; subsequently, the entity will re-enter containment on its own.
